Choices, Priorities and Picking Your Battles
I read a blog today (K-57) that made me think about the things in our lives that we see and notice compared to those things we actively take part in. It's an interesting introspective and it made me scratch my head and wonder, "Why do we get involved some times and not others?"
Our choices are affected by our priorites and our perceptions. A fender bender that could possibly consume a good part of our afternoon is harder to get involved in than a situation where we might be able to save someone's life. Assuming that the value of a human life is one of our priorities.
We 'pick our battles' in life because we can't 'do all' and 'be all.' We each have a journey to make and the events that are part of our journey will be what we are involved in and everything else will fall into someone else's realm of experience.
Acceptance is the hardest thing in life and the easiest.
