Wednesday of Time Share Week

I'm waiting for the maintenance people to bring in a new dish washer and take out the old one. I hated the thought of leaving all my stuff here while the dishwashers are traded out but it occurs to me that when I stay in a hotel, I leave the room all the time and the maids come in and clean up. So, it's pretty silly for me to care now.

We had a GREAT party on Sunday to celebrate my graduating from college. There were 26 people here at the time share and it was an hour-plus drive for all of them, so I feel blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.

The week is flying by but that is to be expected. Having fun and all.

I had no idea that you would ever read my blog so I didn't know to put your birthday on here. Joey's was just mentioned in passing. BUT, thanks for reading my blog and I LOVE YOU, MY DARLING!!!

I am the BOMB DIGGITY

I got a message from my daughter this morning saying, "You're the bomb diggity." I liked the way it sounded and thought I'd share. I was at my computer user group meeting last night and told them all about graduating and I got a round of applause. I mentioned my trip and they all want me to write a book about my travels. I had to laugh. I'm hoping to hook up with some Internet access along the way so I can at least email my adventures to my 'peeps.'

I just hope all the adventures are of the fun sort.

Well, I did it. I sent off for my diploma yesterday and I am a college graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology / Business Systems Analyst. WOW!

I want to take a trip. Graduation Victory Tour! I have been pouring over maps, train schedules, plane scedules, bus schedules and lots more for the last week. I don't have much money so that makes it harder to plan the trip. At this point, it looks like I'll be renting a car and taking off to Bangor, Me. I adore Stephen King novels and he actually lives in Bangor, so it seems like a fun destination. I might be able to drive over to Canada, who knows. I was hoping to see some fall folliage and I might have to go pretty far north to see it.

I have seven weeks off from watching the grandkids, so I'll looking to travel in September. We're heading to our time share next week and the following week, there's a conferenece in Orlando. Then, it's all the Labor Day hustle and bustle, so I'll probably take off after my grandson's birthday on September the 7th. "Happy Birthday Joey!"

Hello Melissa !

My eighth grandchild arrived on August 3rd at 1:42p. She was 20 1/2 inches long and weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces. After six days in labor, her mom ended up with a C-Section but that's a whole novel unto itself. Baby and mom are home now and doing great!
