Knife+Toe=Pain

I was hurrying today, trying to get a load of dishes in some soapy water while I had
a minute. As I'm taking the dishes out of the sink to put new water and soap in, a butcher knife flipped backwards and lands blade down on my little toe. Thank God for the bone or the knife would have severed the toe. Ouch.

After a couple of hours, the bleeding stopped and I've been sitting with it propped up every since. It's so amazing how fast something like this happens. I guess I need to slow down and be more careful.

I figure hobbling around on a sore foot will slow me down considerably.

Wishing Every Month of the Year Could Be June!

That's a line from a Jimmy Buffet song called Cliche's. One of my favorite Buffet songs. Plus, it's June already and I'm running out of time on taking a CLEP test, passing it and getting the results to the University of Phoenix so I can 'officially' graduate from college in August instead of September.

Graduating from college! I can not believe I've come this far. Lot's of people go from high school to college and think nothing of the experience. I had wanted to go to college for thirty years and now I'm actually graduating. It's a little scary to fullfill a lifetime goal. And I'm fuzzy on 'what next.' I have to earn money but I want to finally have a career that I love and I've lost my compass, so to speak.

I'm trying to pull people and experiences into my realm of reality that are positive and uplifting. I realize that by people telling me their problems all my life, it has had a definate effect on the energy that I function in. Happy events and people who are 'high on life' make for a more productive and joyful arena. Once I get a big field of positive enery around me, then I'll be able to make the best choices about any future endeavors.
