Shameful Attendance at the Blog

It's nearly six months since I've written a blog entry. Oh, face it, I'm a slacker. We've had a great spring and now the hurricane season is approaching and the media has us all scared silly. After Hurricane Katrina it is impossible to ignore the horrifying potential of a hurricane. This area has 'dodged the bullet' repeatedly and the 'experts' are telling us our time is nearly up. So, it could be a bad year for storms in Tampa.

Things are so dry here, it looks like driving through Indiana in the winter. So much brown and SO little green.

They (public service announcement) are announcing the reinstitution of water rationing and I never knew they had cancelled the rationing, so I feel a little cheated out of my 'fair share' of the water. Just kidding. Don't want to be a waster of any of our precious resources.

Have a great day and thanks for reading my stuff.

Political Rant

Let me make sure I've got this right. First, there's a terrible hurricane that hits the gulf coast and George isn't interested until his people tell him, "George, jump on this Katrina bandwagon to take the attention off the government investigation." So, George trots to Mississippi, grabs a couple of attractive girls, does some photo opts and makes Katrina his 'cause.'

As interest starts to wane and heads back to the corruption in Washington, here comes George again to tell us about the Bird Flu 'pandemic' that he is going to save us from!!! Are we total idiots, or WHAT?

I understand the right wing and what they do, what I don't understand is why anyone falls for their tricks.

New Book

I got the latest book by Richard Clark "The Scorpion's Gate." I hope it's not too scary. It's a work of fiction but based on Clark's knowledge, it may seem very real.
